This passage of Scripture describes the great majority of today’s so-called “Christianity” in that our “Christian” bookstore shelves are packed full of “do it yourself” books on being a better person, having your “best life now”, pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps to the “abundant life” that Jesus promised in John 10:10. All of this is complete non-sense, a total misuse of Scripture and is leading millions down the broad way toward destruction! Complete neglect of the preaching of the law, the preaching of sin, our transgressions and crimes against a holy God Who’s standard is absolute perfection in thought, word and deed! A God Who must, and will, punish sin where ever it is found!!! God has commanded all men everywhere to repent… why? Because he has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness!
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." (Mark 1:15)

Well said Travis. May God lend us the Grace to not be deceived. I see so many misbelievers fall for all sorts of foolishness...and I simply offer praise to the triune God for electing me before the foundations of the world, for accomplishing my salvation on the cross, and for enlightening me to the Gospel.
